Some additions...

FLYING TRICHECOS
- s/t 12" (Mastermind Records 2011) 120:-
Best!!! 7 songs in 15 minutes combining killed by death style punk mixed with old L.A. punk and early 80's U.S. hardcore. Lots of catchy tunes mixed with retarded abrupt changes and even stupider lyrics. Featuring members of 9 Shocks Terror among others. Limited to 450 copies.
Very very few copies left at Art//Arse?, most sold through pre-orders...

USELESS EATERS - Mr Oscillations 7" (Mastermind 2010) 45:-
One of the best new bands? Great mix of modern punkrock and KBD. Recommended - and don't forget to check out their lp's!

More to come after this thing called x-mas!

VIDEO - Leather leather lp (Play Pinball Records 2011) 130:- SOLD OUT!!!
There's been a lot of buzz about this release and names like Chrome, Crime and Flipper has been dropped. A lot to live up to... and now it's here. Is it good? Actually, it's great!!! Punkrock somewhere in the territory between the chaos of Reatards, early Destruction Unit and the dumbpunk of Wax Museums. So believe the hype, listen and buy! Consists of members from Wax Museums and Bad Sports among others. Comes in a nice die-cut jacket. Few copies so act fast!

Art or Arse? - distro update #10

Finally a new update. Not too much this time, but lots of parcels are on their way so expect update #11 in a not too distant future. Have decided to try to drop superlatives in the descriptions since I got bored of it. Everything we carry is stuff that we really like and is... great, best and highly recommended! As always - CONSUME!

SHITTY LIMITS - Last order /Selling point 7" (La Vida Es Un Mus 2010) 45:-
Contemporary British band that sounds very British in the ATV and Fall way. Part of the same scene as Black Mamba Beat, Love Triangle and Hygiene. Might be one of their best releases up to date, too bad that the will do their last show on the 22nd of October... Don't miss this one or any of their other releases in this list!

RAS - Ett folk, ett ras / Vill ha mer 7" (Push my buttons 2010) 45:-
Finally back in stock! Debut 7" from this band from Stockholm. KBD-sounding punkrock that reminds me of a rawer early KSMB.

LA POLLA RECORDS - Y Ahora Que? 7"ep (Munster 2010?) 55:-
Finally a legitimate reissue of this melodic Spanish KDB-classic originally released in 1983. Dare I say essential?

HITLER SS / TAMPAX split-7"ep (-) 50:-
A good quality so-called fanclub release of this crude 7" recorded in Italy 1979. Great bands and great names. Hitler SS could be heard on Break The Rules #8 with "Slave". Here is the whole 7" reissued in its entirety with both bands and all its hits.

REACTORS - It's not important / Cold eyes 7" (Rerun Records 2011) 50:-
This is Reactors from Austin, Texas and not to be confused with the Reactors from New York (see elsewhere in this list). This 7" was originally recorded and released in 1980 and delivers dark and melancholic punkrock!

Everything else on this blog is hopefully also in stock.

Reservations can also be made for the following;
Critical Mass 7" + Embarressment 7" from Last Laugh Records
Flying Trichecos 12" + Cola Freals live 12" + Useless Eaters 7" from Mastermind Records

Later this fall we will also hopefully have Hot Nasties 7", Arson 7", Spys 7", Missbrukarna lp, Ras lp... Stay tuned!

Since the Dicks 7" is long time gone, Art//Arse? even it up with adding another Tex-ass punkrock classic - a so-called fanclub release of the first Really Red 7" from 1979. Complete without sleeve, just like the original. Blazing punkrock that will make your pants wet!

Except this one, the restock of Hammer Damage 7" has arrived...

PUNCTURE - Mucky Pup / You can't rock and roll (in a council flat) 7" (Last Laugh 2011) 55:-
Originally released on Small Wonder in 1977 and now finally reissued by Last Laugh. Top notch -77 punkrock with an A-side that has been covered and made immortal by the Exploited(!?)

Restock, and last copies ever. Originally released in 1979. Classic fast and noisy US-punkrock!

SHITTY LIMITS - Speculate/Accumulate 12" (La Vida Es Un Mus 2011) 100:-
This might be their strongest release to date. Rumours say that they will break up after their current us-tour and that this 12" will be their swansong. Fuck, too bad... Highly recommended piece of plastic that sounds so much of eveything listenable from the UK!

Art or Arse? - distro update #6

Time for a new update. Lots of goodies, limited quantities as usual...

Let's start with records with birds on the cover. Birdcovers - a new genre? Anyway, two really good albums...

Bird (and a goat) #1
FLOWERS MUST DIE - s/t 12" (Rev/Vega 2010) 110:-
Malmös own Hawkwind? Great spaced-out psych! If you dig stuff like early Hawkwind, this is the record for you! Art//Arse? like it!!!

Bird #2

BLACK MAMBA BEAT - s/t lp (Jeetkune 2010) 100:-
New South-african/British band, part of the British so-called Shabeen Scene, and consists of one ex(?)-Black Time member. Sounds like a cross between Black Time, Minutemen and maybe Cramps British punkrockstyle? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

No more birds, some more British Shabeen instead;

HYGIENE - Public sector lp (La Vida Es Un Mus 2011) 100:-
After a couple of nice 7-inches here's Hygienes debut album. Better than ever? Really British sounding punk/post-punk for everyone who like Bingomaster-era The Fall. B-U-Y.

Some other stuff. Since its in the list, we at Art//Arse like it. Buy or die.

HOME BLITZ - Perpetual night 7" (Almost Ready) 45:-
Latest offering from Home Blitz, sounds like if Modern Lovers had continued to be as great as on their 1976 album. Might be Home Blitz strongest release ever?

SKULL DEFEKTS - Gospel of the skull 7" (Psychic Malmö 2011) 50:-
Great release from Psychic Malmö. Traditional Skull Defekts sound, but the vocals from Daniel Higgs (ex-Lungfish) makes it sound a bit like Cortex and we all like Cortex, right?

APACHE - Bloody knuckles 7" (Savage) 45:-
Holy shit! Art//Arse? was expecting some glam/punk/junk, but instead this is great punkrock with a slice of NWOBHM-sound. This update's surprise!

ZEROS - Main street brat 7" (Last Laugh 2010) 55:-
Restock of this record with two tracks recorded in the late 70's. Deserves to be up there with their mandatory Don't push me around and Wild Weekend 7-inches.

NORMALS - Almost ready 7" (Last Laugh 2010) 55:-

M-A-N-D-A-T-O-R-Y.

KRIG I HUDIK - s/t 7"ep (Feral Ward 2009) 45:-
Hardcore so good that it hurts! Poffen from Totalitär and Rolf Revålt from Missbrukarna among others launch old hits from the early Eighties / late Seventies. Best!!!

"What we got here is a bunch of still active veterans with an impressive list of merits that includes Totalitär, Missbrukarna, Swinehood, and Brainbombs at least. Such a list doesn't always matter, but when it comes to this band it actually does, as Krig I Hudik presents a 7" including eight covers and two originals. All the covered bands originate from Hudiksvall and the tracks are dating back to the late 70's or early 80's, with the exception of the late Missbrukarna cover from 1988 (which never was released in its original form). Personally I hadn't heard any of the originals prior to this as I can recall, but if they're even half as ripping as they are on here I need to track them all down immediately. Good old loud Swedish råpunk greatness with a killer raw production.
All tracks are great, but what really excites me is that the two new tracks are absolutely scorching and reminds me a somewhat of early Totalitär, but of course it's hard not to compare a ripping hardcore band that has Poffen on vocals with Totalitär. Either way, cover versions or not, this is a killer 7" release!
The bands covered, apart from already mentioned Missbrukarna, are The Turfs, Faktor 4, Knark i Hassela, and Massgrav (the old one obviously). [Krogh - September 30, 2009]
www.feralward.com"

KRIG I HUDIK - Krig I Hudik 2 7"ep (Skrammel 2010) 45:-
More of the same!!! Recommended.

SIR HENRY FIAT'S BASTARD - Your mom is a fucking mongo 7"ep (US-version on Pandacide Records) 35:-
Henry Fiat's Open Sore-singer goes solo with guys from the dirty South. Great stuff similiar to HFOS, but maybe better?

SIR HENRY FIAT'S BASTARD - s/t 7"ep (Kenrock) 60:-
Same as "Your Mom is..." 7", but this is the European version in an ultra deluxe fold-out sleeve! Wonderful.

BRUN DILL - Små kukars revansch i samhället 7"ep (Kenrock) 35:-
Pretty much the same line-up - and sound - as on the Sir Henry Fiat's Bastard 7", but this time in Swedish.

THE HARD LIQUOR MEN - A drop of the hard stuff 10" (Malmö City Records) 50:-
Jonas and Nicko from Sir Henry Fiat's Bastard / Brun Dill team up with an awesome drummer and deliever some Malmö City punkrock?
